Layne Christensen - Safety, Health, and Sustainability
Layne Christensen has operations throughout the world in such countries as Canada, Mexico, South America, and Thailand. SEHS is involved in meeting the safety needs of all of our international and domestic employees.
A monthly safety publication is translated to the appropriate language to provide important safety information to all field employees. Job site safety audits are performed by safety staff on a routine basis at Layne Christensen drilling sites including those in the international markets. The safety of our employees is Layne Christensen's number one priority. Regardless of the drilling location, maximum safety compliance is required and expected.
Operations
Our staff has technical knowledge
and practical experience in all phases of the health and safety field.
This experience and knowledge is extended to the job site in the form
of detailed site specific safety operations including: confined space
entry, environmental health and safety plans, industrial ventilation
surveys, and on-site monitoring. Health and safety objectives are
achieved by utilizing state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, extensive
personal protective equipment and the most current information
available.
Training
All Layne Christensen personnel involved in OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulations are
trained in-house by the SEHS staff. An advanced driver training course
is also taught to help ensure safety on public roadways. All training
courses comply with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations. Layne Christensen
can, upon request, provide its clients with the necessary training to
ensure compliance with these various government regulations. |
